| The Minoan religion was polythesic and matriarchal.It was a goddess religion which means that all their gods were women.Both men and women of this religion all swear by the name of the Virgin Mary becuase they thought that it would make them ''All Holy''.One of the goddesses was called the Lady of the Beasts,or the Huntress.This goddess overcomes and masters animals.Later in carnation she becomes the Mountain Mother she sits on a mointain and watches and protects all of the animals in the natural world.One of the more popular goddesses was the snake goddess.She has snakes all over her body.She also has snakes as hands.In the Minoan religion they worshipped things such as springs,trees,sacred stones,and pillars. |
