1. If you don't know history, you don't know
anything.
2. Memory is to the individual as history is to
the country.
3. Those who cannot learn from the past are
condemned to repeat it.
4. History is not a crystal ball...but it can
tell you what not to do!
5. It is in the nature of human beings to act in
the future as they did in the past.
