Media Center Events
- Celebrate you child's birthday with a book donation to Ridge Elementary's Learning Resource Center.
- On your child's birthday, you can donate a new or gently used book.
- We will place a book plate in the book and your child will receive a personal thank you.

The media center will host two book fairs a year, one in the fall and another in the spring.
This is a great opportunity for 4th and 5th grade students to read incredible books and have fun competing with their classmates. Students will form teams of 3-5 students within their grade level. Once all permission slips are in, Mrs. Gilbert will meet with the participants to reveal and pass out the books to the teams. Each team will be responsible for reading all five Battle of the Books titles. These titles are chosen from the Rebecca Caudill Book Award nominee list and the Bluestem Book Award nominee list. Students will read the books and then teams will "battle" it out in a competition based on information from the books.
