Book Check-Out

  • Books may be checked out and taken home for a one-week period.
  • After one week, the book may be renewed for an additional week.
  • Students in K-1 can check out 1 book and 2-5 can check out 2 books.

Overdue Book Policy

  • When a book is overdue, we first remind the student of the overdue item. We then allow students in grades K-2 to select a book that we will hold for one day. This helps our very young students remember to return their book so they can get the book of their choice.
  • If the book is not returned, a notice is sent home with the student. Once the notice is signed and the parents are aware of the missing book, another book may be checked out.
  • Eventually, the student will be informed of the replacement costs of the missing book. The family will receive a letter through the mail.

Damaged Book Policy

  • If a book is damaged, a notice is sent home with the student. Once the notice is signed and the parents are aware of the damaged book, another book may be checked out.
  • The student will be informed of the replacement costs of the damaged book. The family will receive a letter through the mail.
