Checkout Policeis and procedures

You must present your own current ID card to check out books.

You may have only one book checked out at a time.

Books are checked out for a period of 2 weeks. 
A book may be checked out if your account has no fines or outstanding materials.

Books may be renewed for an additional 2 weeks.
However, books will not be renewed if there is an outstanding fine on your account or if another student has the book on hold.

Overdue, Lost  or Damaged Books

You checked it out--you are responsible for returning the book on time and in good condition. You will be billed for materials that are lost, damaged or late.

If your book is overdue, a fine of 10 cents per school day will be charged.
If your book is lost or damaged, you will be charged the replace cost of book.

Computer Usage

You must have an Internet Usage form on file in the school office giving you permission to use the Internet. Computers are to be used for school projects only.  

If you are sent to type a paper, you should have a written rough draft to begin typing.

Student IDs

All students are issued an ID card at the beginning of each school year. 
Replacement ID cards are made in the Media Center.  The cost is $5.00.

Coming to the Media Center

You may come to the Media Center before the bell rings in the morning. During class time you need a pass from your teacher. If there are no classes using the Media Center, you may sign out of the lunch room after you have eaten lunch. 

If you wish to stay after school and use the Media Center, you need to check with Mrs. Potter ahead of time. This way you will know if the Media Center will be open that day.
