Mr. Ramsdell’s Classroom Rules
Notebook
Every science student is required to keep an up-to-date
loose leaf notebook. Notebooks will be periodically checked for 1 letter
grade.
Classroom Rules
Students are expected to exhibit respect for themselves, peers,
and teachers. This respect is reflected by each student helping to keep our
classroom orderly and safe. The following are my classroom rules:
- Be in your seat when the
tardy bell rings. If you are tardy to class bring an excuse note.
- Drinks, food, candy, or
gum are not allowed in the classroom. Combs, brushes or makeup used in
class will become the permanent property of the teacher.
- Respect school property
and the property of others. Do not mark on desk tops, chairs, walls,
books, doors, etc.
- A student who is excused
absent is required to make-up all assignments missed as soon as possible.
A student who is unexcused absent will receive an “F” on all missed
assignments.
- No passes will be issued
to go to another room or locker for misplaced or forgotten work. NO
BATHROOM PASSES will be given except in extreme emergencies.
- Do not ask to borrow
pencil, pen, or paper from your fellow classmates. This is your
responsibility to have all materials in class.
- Bring required materials
to class daily. Materials required are as follows:
- Book
- Pen or pencil
- Calculator
- Notebook
- Please be courteous.
Raise your hand to contribute to class discussion.
If student fails to follow any of the classroom rules, the
following consequences will result:
- Verbal warning
- Teacher-Student
Conference
- Parent Contact (note
& phone call)
- Parent Conference
- Administrative Referral
Late Homework Policy
Homework that is turned in one day late will be worth
60%. Homework turned in later, must be turned in before exam to get 25%.
Missed Class work/Homework
Assignments missed due to absences shall be given to
student on the day of his/her return to school. These assignments are to be
turned in following the rules in the handbook. It is your
responsibilities to ensure that all class work/ homework assignments are
submitted to the teacher in a timely fashion.
Tests: 30%
Lab Grades: 20%
Homework 20%
Quiz 10%
Final 20%
