Advanced Chemistry Honors

Grades Open To: 11-12 Term: 1 & 2 Credit: 1.0

Prerequisite/Grade Recommendation: "B" or better in Chemistry and Algebra

This course will cover advanced topics in chemistry.
Topics covered are:

• aqueous chemistry and predicting products
• stoichiometry
• graphical analysis
• gas laws
• thermo chemistry
• chemical bonding
• molecular geometry
• condensed states
• solutions
• chemical kinetics
• chemical equilibrium
• solubility equilibria
• acids & bases
• electrochemistry
• organic/biochemistry

This course will include special research projects. Students taking this course will be encouraged, but not required, to take the AP Chemistry exam.
