Frankenstein is coming to PSHS this
weekend! Tickets are on sale in the main office or
they can be purchased at the door prior to each performance. The curtain goes up at 7:00 pm on Friday and
Saturday and at 2:30 on Sunday. Don’t
miss the opportunity to see this classic story on stage!
Juniors and Seniors who are interested in attending Cosmetology
School or would like to learn more about the program should sign up in
Student Services to attend an informational meeting. Please
sign up by Friday, November 21.
Any sophomore
who is interested in attending a Wilco - Cosmetology program next
year must hand in an application to their counselor by December 1.
There will be an Operation Snowball meeting today after school in Ms. McNulty's
office, room 328.5. If you sold candy
for Red Ribbon Week, please bring your money from the sales.

giving thanks early as we discuss the meaning of it all!

Boys swimming tryouts will be Monday, November 24th
from 4:15-6:30 at the Plainfield YMCA (15120 Wallin Dr., near Routes 30
and 126). You must have current physical and athletic code on
file in Athletic office to tryout.
Any
boys who are interested in
Track and Field must attend a Mandatory Informational Meeting on
Thursday, November 20th. There will be two
times available, so pick one: before school at 6:45 am in Room 194 or after
school at 3:35 pm in Room 194. If you
have any questions, please ask Coach Crowe in the PE Department.

the National Career Development Week of November 17. In honor of the celebration, we invite all
Cougars to participate in this year's National Art and Poetry Poster
Contest. The theme designated is INSPIRE YOUR CAREER, DEVELOP YOUR
DREAMS. Our new President-elect Obama has done that...now it is
your turn! Please see Student Services
or the CCC in room 300 for entry forms. All entries must be submitted by
3 PM. on November 25 to be considered for gift certificates.
The Illinois
AMVETS scholarships are now accepting applications from seniors.
Scholarships range from $500 - $3000.

Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a child or grandchild of an US veteran

The
Worchid Scholarship is awarded to a child of a deceased veteran parent.
·
The
Service Foundation Scholarship is awarded to 30 seniors based on
merit and financial need.
·
The
Sad Sacks Nursing Scholarship is awarded to a senior who will pursue
nursing.
·
The Trade
School Scholarship is awarded to 10 seniors who will pursue further
training in a trade school program.
The German Club and Honor Society will be selling chocolate-filled
calendars to celebrate the upcoming holidays.
The calendars are only $4.00 and will be on sale through the end of
November. Your family and friends will
love the tasty German chocolate hidden behind each door of the calendar. Please see Frau Miller or a German Club member
